Job Invest B.V. is looking for a Department Mechanic in Deurne, Netherlands. In this role, you will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production machines ensuring minimal downtime. A machine is down, and production needs to resume as quickly as possible. You'll investigate what's wrong, identify the cause, and ensure the malfunction is resolved safely and expertly. You collaborate with fellow mechanics, the technical service department, production, and other departments. Good communication is important during this process, for example, with breakdowns, maintenance work, deviations, or improvements to technical situations.
As a Department Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machines and installations. You will assess their condition, fix defects where possible, and immediately report findings when a breakdown is more serious. You will also perform preventive and corrective maintenance at scheduled times to ensure machines continue to run reliably.
When a malfunction occurs, you locate the problem and investigate the possible cause. You assess whether immediate repair is necessary and perform emergency repairs in consultation with your supervisor. In addition, you participate in larger projects, overhauls, and technical improvements. Maintaining tools, replenishing documentation, and keeping the workspace tidy are also part of your duties.
You work in a 2-shift system. The early shift is from 06:30 to 14:30, and the late shift is from 14:30 to 22:30, Monday through Friday. You have two 15-minute breaks per day.
