Job summary

Smart Freight Centre seeks a Technical Manager – Market Based Measures to advance emissions accounting and decarbonization standards in global logistics. You will collaborate with program teams, industry experts and international stakeholders to promote credible book-and-claim practices and strengthen the MBM framework.

The role focuses on developing methods, standards and training materials, while supporting clients and partners in adopting market-based measures for Scope 3 decarbonization in

Qualifications

• In-depth sector knowledge of freight transport decarbonization.
• Technical expertise in GHG accounting and MBM concepts.
• Ability to translate complex sustainability concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Fluency in English; additional languages welcome.

Responsibilities

• Shape methods, standards and assurance strategy for SFC MBM program.
• Support MBM deployment in road transport, registries, and accounting/reporting.
• Develop content for training courses, case studies, and promotional materials.
• Provide technical advisory services to multinational clients on decarbonization and emissions accounting.
• Assist with compliance checks for member book-and-claim transactions.
• Support maintenance and development of the MBM framework and MS&A standards.
• Guide member organisations on sustainable logistics initiatives.
