Vonk Purmerend is looking for a Mathematics teacher for 0.5 FTE to cover a sick leave. You will inspire vmbo students (age 12-16) with engaging lessons and act as their coach, guiding progress and collaboration with parents.

You bring a second-grade Mathematics qualification or are pursuing it, plus strong Dutch language skills and creative ICT use in class. Join a close-knit team, with flexible attitude and clear development paths.

Qualifications

• A second-grade teaching qualification in Mathematics or you are studying for it.
• Good pedagogical and teaching skills.
• Enthusiasm and commitment to work with colleagues to develop the curriculum for your subject.
• Creativity in using various teaching methods and ICT tools/social media in the classroom.
• Strong command of Dutch, both spoken and written.

Responsabilités

• Teach vmbo students aged 12 to 16 and convey your love for mathematics.
• Act as coach and mentor for your students and communicate with parents/guardians about progress.
• Collaborate with support staff to identify students needing extra attention.
• Create a safe, stimulating learning environment and motivate students to reach their potential.

What will you do? You pass on your love for your subject to vmbo students aged 12 to 16 every day. You know what's happening in your field and, like no one else, you creatively get students enthusiastic about the material. You act as a coach and mentor for your students and you are proactive towards parents and/or guardians about their child's progress. Together with colleagues from support and guidance, you also focus on students who require extra attention. A safe and stimulating learning environment is central to you, and you motivate students to achieve their maximum potential!

Your salary will be graded according to scale LB of the MBO collective labour agreement, with a gross monthly salary of between €3,713 and €5,495 for a full-time employment contract, depending on your experience.
