Job summary

Leiden Bio Science Park in Amsterdam is looking for a highly motivated Master's student in Physics, Chemistry, or Life Sciences for a full-time internship. You'll work on a project developing a nanocontact printing technique, collaborating in both research and startup settings.

This internship offers a chance to gain practical experience in advanced nanotechnology applied to biotech and photovoltaic applications in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in a relevant field.
  • Motivated to work in both a research institute and a start-up environment.
  • Willingness to travel daily to Amsterdam Science Park.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize ink composition and printing parameters for molecular nanopatterns.
  • Fabricate and characterize nanopatterned Si master wafers using e‑beam lithography.
  • Perform soft nano contact printing with PDMS stamps.
  • Functionalize glass substrates and assess pattern quality using TIRF microscopy.
  • Optimize feature sizes for DNA trapping on patterns through extensive testing.
  • Optimize TOPO-based inks in perovskite solar cells with performance evaluations.
