Marketing Director

SoTalent Heeze, North Brabant, Netherlands

Workload: Approximately 16 hours per week

Salary scale: Dutch Municipal Collective Agreement (CAO Gemeenten), scale 10A

Location: Heeze (hybrid working options available)

The Assignment

For a temporary project, the Municipality of Heeze-Leende is seeking an experienced coordinator who can effectively bring together marketing, communication, and public participation around sustainability initiatives. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels and ensure that residents, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and colleagues are not only informed but actively engaged and motivated to take action.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate sustainability-related marketing and participation activities, from strategy development through to implementation
• Develop and execute the 2026 marketing plan, based on the Sustainability Implementation Programme 2026–2027
• Provide substantive input for the 2026 communication plan and the sustainability campaign Heeze-Leende Moving Forward Sustainably (including branding, messaging, tone of voice, and activations)
• Organize a public-facing sustainability event focused on water, in collaboration with IVN
• Contribute to participation processes for neighborhood implementation plans and the municipal heat transition programme
• Support and contribute to initiatives such as the local energy cooperative and the SDG platform
• Engage local businesses in sustainability efforts at the De Poortmannen industrial estate

Candidate Profile

• A relevant higher professional education (HBO) qualification
• Several years of experience in a comparable role involving marketing, communication, and/or participation
• Creative, proactive, and results-driven, with strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Demonstrated affinity with sustainability and environmental initiatives
• Experience with similar public-sector or sustainability projects is an advantage
