Job summary

Slaapschepen, a ship-focused technical services provider, seeks a Technical Maintenance Officer to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs across vessels and facilities. The role involves frequent travel to project locations in North and South Holland, Friesland, and other parts of the Netherlands.

You will work with the Technical Department to diagnose issues, implement durable solutions, and document work while ensuring safety and quality on all projects.

Qualifications

• MBO level technical education, preferably electrical or mechanical.
• Experience in a similar technical/maritime role.
• Knowledge of technical systems and tools.
• Willingness to travel within the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Visit vessels/projects and perform installations, repairs, and maintenance of facilities on board.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings and installations under supervision.
• Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and changes made.
• Ensure safe, tidy living/working environment on vessels and comply with safety guidelines.
• Provide broad support to the Technical Department and be available outside regular hours for emergencies.
