Job summary

Herman Senior in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Maritime Officer to strengthen our fleet of 12 vessels. You will work on bridge and engine room, support the Captain, and manoeuvre the vessel during daily operations.

You will coordinate with our shore office on maintenance and safety, perform planned engine room tasks, troubleshoot faults, and contribute to offshore support and dredging activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Maritime Officer certificate for <3000 GT and <3000 kW.
• STCW Manila Amendments (2010) certificate.
• Radar Management Level (STCW A-II/2) is an advantage.
• Valid STCW certificates, including Basic Safety Training and Advanced Fire Fighting.
• Experience with Shoalbusters and/or Multicats is an advantage.
• Valid passport for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge and engine room duties and assist the Captain.
• Independently manoeuvre the vessel during daily operations.
• Coordinate with shore office on maintenance needs and technical matters.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed during watch.
• Carry out planned engine room maintenance and troubleshoot faults.
• Support offshore operations and dredging tasks.

Education

Valid Maritime Officer certificate for <3000 GT and <3000 kW (STCW II/1 and III/1)

Manila Amendments (STCW 2010) COE

Radar Management Level (STCW A-II/2)
