Job summary

Seas of Solutions, based in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to embed cyber security across the product development lifecycle for maritime safety equipment. You will translate cyber security regulations into concrete product requirements and ensure they are met through design, testing, and certification.

The role reports into the R&D organization and collaborates with software, firmware, and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a cyber security engineering role
• Knowledge of EU Cyber Resilience Act or IEC/ISO cybersecurity frameworks
• Solid understanding of embedded systems security concepts
• Fluent in English, based in Zoetermeer, Netherlands
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field

Responsibilities

• Translate regulatory requirements into concrete, testable cyber security requirements for maritime safety equipment
• Define and maintain a cyber security requirements baseline
• Liaise with notified bodies and type approval authorities on certification
• Review software/firmware architectures against security requirements and support secure coding practices
• Support vulnerability management and risk assessments across the product portfolio
