Van Oord invites aspiring maritime cadets to join its vessel-based program, gaining practical on-board experience while learning from a diverse, international crew. You are studying at a Dutch maritime academy, prepared to spend about 150 days away from home, with English and Dutch skills, flexibility, and initiative.

Travel and accommodation are arranged by Van Oord, and a cadetship allowance of €425 is provided.

Qualifications

• Studying at a Dutch maritime academy.
• Willing to spend a period of 150 days away from home.
• Flexible, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
• Available from the end of January until summer.
• Good command of English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Apply maritime knowledge in a real working environment on board.
• Take responsibility and develop your professional skills.
• Work with an international crew on leading maritime projects.
• Explore your own direction, from dredging to deck or engine room work.
