Job summary

Transafe B.V. is an independent maritime safety, health, environmental and quality specialist and market leader in inland shipping, seeking a Maritime Auditor to perform safety and quality inspections and advise clients on regulations.

You will write reports, deliver on-board safety training, and may participate in emergency response and fleet management initiatives. The role requires Dutch and English command, a relevant auditor/safety certificate, and living in the Netherlands near Rotterdam.

Qualifications

Good command of Dutch and English.
Able to work independently and in a structured manner, while being a team player.
Affinity with the maritime sector.
Valid driving licence.
Living in the Netherlands, preferably within 50 km of Rotterdam.

Responsibilities

Perform safety and quality inspections within the maritime sector and advise clients on legislation and regulations.
Conduct safety inspections/audits on inland vessels (and possibly terminals).
Write and submit reports.
Provide training on board / on location; deliver safety training sessions on board.
Perform incident investigations.
Participate in the emergency response team (on-call evenings/weekends several weeks per year).
Support and implement fleet management systems.
Carry out alcohol and drug testing.
