Job summary

ASM Maritime is seeking a Marine Superintendent for its Amsterdam office. The role ensures vessels are ready to perform under pool/TC terms, maintaining safety systems and compliance with regulations and vetting requirements.

You will support the Marine Director in procedures and liaise with customers and stakeholders. Ideal candidates bring Chief Mate STCW II/2 Unlimited, 2+ years as Captain/Chief Officer on chemical tankers, and at least 1 year ashore in vetting/supervision, with travel

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as Captain or Chief Officer on chemical tankers.
• At least 1 year of experience working ashore as marine/vetting superintendent.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
• Ability to work from the Amsterdam office.
• Good general IT knowledge.

Are you an experienced maritime professional with a background as a Chief Mate or a Captain on chemical tankers? Join ASM Maritime as a Marine Superintendent and play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our fleet.

On behalf of ASM Maritime, MARPRO Group is looking for a Marine Superintendent for the office in Amsterdam. You will report to the Marine Director of the company.

The job

As a Marine Superintendent at ASM Maritime, you will be responsible to ensure the vessel is at all times ready to perform in accordance with pool and/or TC terms and conditions and is kept to the highest company and industry standards. You support the Marine Director in overall business procedures, customers, and internal/external assurance. You ensure all procedures are done according to our company’s safety procedures and you maintain the safety system and ensures this is in line with the national and international regulations and the oil major vetting requirements

• Minimum Chief Mate STCW Reg. ii/2 Unlimited
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Captain or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
• At least 1 year of experience working ashore as marine/vetting superintendent
• Must have a high level of commitment in order to meet the demanding workload and long work hours
• Ability to work under pressure and 24/7 availability
• Good general IT knowledge
• Possession of a category B driving license
• Willingness to travel on short notice
• Ability to work from the office in Amsterdam
