Job summary

A global biotechnology leader in Amsterdam is seeking a Cell Therapy Specialist for a 12-month contract. You will support the end-to-end manufacturing of T-cell therapies in a cGMP environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, have cGMP experience, and ideally familiarity with cell therapy products. This role offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team advancing innovative cancer treatments.

Job description

Cell Therapy Specialist – 12 Month Contract

Are you passionate about advanced therapies and excited by the opportunity to support life-changing treatments for patients? We are partnering with a global biotechnology leader who is expanding their manufacturing team and seeking a Cell Therapy Specialist to join their state-of-the-art facility in Amsterdam on a 12-month contract.

This is a chance to be part of a mission-driven organisation developing innovative T-cell therapies for cancer treatment. You’ll work in a highly controlled cGMP environment, taking ownership of critical steps that directly impact patient outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will support the end-to-end manufacturing of clinical and commercial cell therapy products, including:

  • Performing manufacturing activities across B, D and CNC grade cleanroom areas
  • Preparing media, staging materials, handling waste and delivering samples
  • Conducting visual inspection and cryopreservation of drug product
  • Ensuring all production components are available to meet schedule requirements
  • Executing GMP runs in close collaboration with Product Sciences, Materials Management, QA and QC
  • Revising and optimising SOPs, Batch Records and Work Instructions
  • Supporting investigations into deviations and contributing to change controls
  • Completing all GMP documentation accurately and consistently
  • Maintaining a high-quality, compliant cleanroom environment
  • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and process robustness
What you bring
  • MBO or Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ cGMP experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment
  • Experience with cell therapy products or cell culture is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of aseptic processing, biotechnology manufacturing and cGMP/cGDP requirements
  • Practical experience with primary human cells (T cells a strong plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and data analysis
  • Critical thinker with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Self-motivated, proactive and willing to take on responsibilities beyond the core remit when needed
