Job summary

Orion Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to bridge development and production, focusing on manufacturability and process improvements.

You will create and maintain processes, work instructions, tooling and training, while collaborating with Manufacturing, R&D and Quality to ensure first-time-right processes. The role also involves process validation, implementing changes to products and production methods, and cross-functional teamwork to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
• Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary (global) projects.
• Ability to collaborate across different functions to achieve results.
• Good command of English; Dutch is a plus.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you contribute to the transition from development to manufacturing and focus on improving production processes, quality and efficiency.

What you will do

• Create and maintain manufacturing processes, including work instructions, tooling and training
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, R&D and Quality to establish first-time-right processes
• Prepare and introduce changes related to products, components and production processes
• Define, execute and document process validation activities, including validation runs and first production models
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams (such as supply chain, design and purchasing) and introduce new production methods

Work environment

You will work in a:

• Multidisciplinary environment involving Manufacturing, R&D, Quality and other functions
• Role focused on the transition from development to manufacturing
• Setting where process improvement, quality and manufacturability are key

What you bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering
• A results-driven mindset with a strong focus on quality
• Experience working in or contributing to multidisciplinary (global) projects
• Ability to collaborate across different functions to achieve results
• Good command of the English language; Dutch is a plus

Preferred:

• Experience with creating Quality Management System (QMS) procedures
