Job summary

FiSer Consulting seeks an experienced Programme Manager or Management Consultant to lead complex transformation programmes for insurers and financial services clients in the Netherlands. You will own delivery from planning through implementation, managing senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams in a hybrid Amsterdam‑based role.

Fluent Dutch and English are required, with valid Netherlands work authorisation.

What you’ll work on

As a Management Consultant – Program Manager, you’ll lead complex transformation programmes and projects for our insurance clients, taking ownership of delivery from planning through implementation.

You’ll work closely with senior client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to bring structure to complex programmes, keep delivery on track and turn strategic objectives into tangible results.

• Lead and manage complex transformation programmes and projects within the insurance sector.
• Own programme planning, governance, milestones, dependencies, risks and delivery.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear roadmaps, implementation plans and measurable outcomes.
• Manage senior stakeholders and act as a trusted sparring partner throughout the programme.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across business, operations, risk, finance and technology.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies and proactively drive issues towards resolution.
• Provide clear programme reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and steering committees.
• Support transformation across areas such as regulatory change, DORA, Solvency II, risk & finance, operations, technology and operating model transformation.
• Coach consultants and support project teams in delivering high-quality work.
• Contribute to FiSer’s Insurance practice through knowledge sharing, proposition development and business-development support.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Manager or Management Consultant who understands the insurance industry and knows how to lead complex transformation from strategy through execution.

• A Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in insurance, financial services or consulting, with significant exposure to the insurance sector.
• Proven experience leading complex programmes, projects or transformation initiatives.
• Strong programme and project management capabilities, including planning, governance, risk management, dependencies, stakeholder management and implementation.
• Experience with business transformation, change management, regulatory change, PMO or implementation programmes.
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, operating models and technology developments.
• Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders and steering committees.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, can-do mindset.
• An existing network within the Dutch insurance market is a plus.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Currently based in the Netherlands with valid work authorisation.
