Job summary

Together with an enthusiastic team you will work on all technology aspects in the deal process of Dutch and international transactions. At Deloitte.

You will conduct Technology Due Diligence, review technology strategies, and provide insights into technology capabilities, risks, and costs to support strategic decision-making in M&A contexts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with strong affinity for technology and digital transformation.
• 6+ years of experience in Big Four, tech strategy, or tech-related M&A advisory.
• Experience in Technology M&A, Diligence, integration, or separations preferred.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Technology and IT due diligence engagements across industries.
• Review and define current and future-state technology strategies and architectures.
• Provide insights on technology capabilities, risks, and investment costs.

Job Description

• Conducting Technology Due Diligence and IT Due Diligence engagements, including assessments of IT landscapes, cybersecurity, software products, platforms and technology operating models across industries;
• Reviewing and defining current and future-state Technology Strategies, business models and technology architectures, while aligning them with our clients’ investment theses and value creation plans;
• Providing insights into technology capabilities, risks, investment requirements and associated costs to support strategic decision-making;
• Analyzing technology trends, digital strategies, transformation initiatives and investment roadmaps to assess future growth potential;
• Supporting clients with Technology Integration, Post-Merger Integration, Carve-Out and Separation programs from a technology perspective;
• Working closely with an ambitious team to further develop and strengthen Deloitte’s growingTechnology Strategy & M&A proposition, including Technology Due Diligence and M&A Technology services.

For the position of Manager Technology Strategy and M&A, you bring:

• A relevant Master’s degree (MSc, ir.) and a strong affinity with technology, technology strategy and digital transformation;
• A completed university degree and at least 6 years of experience within the Big Four, technology strategy consulting, technology advisory, M&A advisory or a technology-related corporate M&A environment;
• Experience in Technology M&A, Technology Due Diligence, IT Due Diligence, Post-Merger Integration, Carve-Outs or Separations, or the ambition to apply your Technology Strategy expertise within an M&A context;
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken;
• The ability to understand client needs, identify opportunities and create value beyond the scope of your direct assignment.

As part of our M&A Transaction Services (TS) practice, where both corporate and private equity clients are supported in making informed investment decisions, the Value Creation Services (VCS) team helps clients realize tangible value throughout the entire deal lifecycle.

Over the past years, the VCS team has successfully supported large Dutch and international transactions. Within VCS, our Technology Strategy & M&A proposition, including Technology Due Diligence and IT Due Diligence, has grown significantly and is expected to accelerate further in the coming years.

We deliver high-quality work that enables our clients to make better technology-related investment decisions. Our teams help clients understand technology trends, assess technology capabilities, identify value creation opportunities and evaluate technology risks across the M&A lifecycle.
