Job Description & Summary
The M&A Technology team is part of the Delivering Deal Value (DDV) group that supports corporate and private equity firms to identify, quantify and deliver full deal value. With unrivalled industry experience and expertise in both pre‑ and post‑deal phases, we know what to look for in a target business and how to address issues. You will work closely with colleagues focused on key services such as:
- Carve‑out and divestment support
- Mergers & Acquisitions integration
- Synergy development and review
- Operational restructuring and rapid value creation
In your daily work as a Manager Technology Deals you will support clients in pre‑ and post‑deal M&A projects focusing on key IT aspects. You will provide buy‑side and sell‑side support to quickly form an opinion on the effectiveness of technology. Your key responsibilities include:
- Identifying innovation capabilities to support growing business needs (digital, platform, automation, AI and robotics, cloud adoption, etc.)
- Providing insight into the quality and effectiveness of IT and its contribution to business objectives based on IT due‑diligence, highlighting key opportunities and investment risks for the client.
- Managing Technology M&A project teams, including day‑to‑day task management, shaping outputs, reviewing and delivering quality deliverables for projects such as due‑diligence, carve‑out, integration and IT synergy or cost‑saving assessments.
- Proactively leading business development in collaboration with Partners and Directors, including active follow‑up on opportunities, pitch development and identification of key insights.
- Creating value and growth opportunities driven by IT and digital‑enabled performance improvements.
Qualifications
We are looking for talented professionals with a strong background in IT and digital skills, ready for the next step in their career. You are commercially minded, socially adept, and have excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). Fluency in another language is a plus. You can coach and motivate people, deliver board‑level advice, and have strong reporting skills, preferably in client‑facing roles. Additionally you have:
- At least four years of experience in IT from an IT consulting firm, Big 4 firm, or relevant corporate IT strategy/transformation roles (e.g., CIO department).
- A university degree in business administration, science, engineering or a related discipline – demonstrating affinity toward emerging digital technologies and IT topics.
- Deal and M&A IT experience, including due diligence, carve‑out, integration or IT‑enabled performance improvements.
