Job description

Lamers High Tech Systems, part of Aalberts advanced mechatronics, is a specialist in ultra-high purity gas and fluid systems for demanding environments. Lamers designs, engineers, produces, qualifies and installs complex systems where quality, reliability, precision and predictability are essential. Lamers has locations in Nijmegen and Wijchen.

Driven by growing demand and a clear long-term ambition, Lamers is looking for a Manager Supply Chain Planning to build, lead and further professionalize the planning function in a high-tech environment where reliable delivery, capacity and customer-driven demand define the game.

The role

As Manager Supply Chain Planning, you lead and further professionalize the sales, inventory and operations planning function within Lamers. You manage the production and MPS planners and take ownership of the planning process, from demand review and master production scheduling to production planning and execution. Your leadership combines direction and structure with a hands‑on mindset: close to the content and the team, and willing to step into the details when it matters.

You are the connecting link between sales, operations, procurement, finance and supply chain. You look beyond today’s operation and translate market and business developments into realistic mid‑ and long‑term plans, in a dynamic environment with many moving parts and different interests.

This is a role for a manager with a hands‑on mindset rather than a high‑level S&OP specialist who steers from a distance. You take ownership across the daily operation, mid‑term master planning and longer‑term scenarios, and you step into the data and the details when it matters. The assignment is clear: bring stability, structure, predictability and drive into planning as volumes increase.

You will join a planning organization that is being further professionalized, including the move towards a new ERP environment, a context in which you can shape the next phase rather than step into a fully finished machine.

Key responsibilities
  • Planning leadership: lead, coach and develop the production and MPS planners, creating clarity, ownership and a stronger performance rhythm.
  • Operational planning and MPS: safeguard reliable day‑to‑day planning of orders, stations and capacity, and strengthen mid‑term master production scheduling.
  • S&OP / SI&OP: run and further professionalize the S&OP / SI&OP cycle, including demand, supply and executive reviews, with clear follow‑up of actions and decisions.
  • Scenario planning: develop scenarios and what‑if analyses to make the impact of market developments, capacity constraints and supply risks transparent.
  • KPIs and control: monitor and improve KPIs such as delivery reliability, forecast accuracy, plan adherence and inventory development, and challenge assumptions on feasibility, capacity, stock and demand.
  • Stakeholder alignment: act as the connecting link between sales, operations, procurement, finance and the value streams to reach supported decisions.
  • Systems and data: optimize planning parameters, data quality and system setup within ERP and other planning environments, and contribute to the upcoming ERP implementation.
Your profile
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, production planning or integrated business planning in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing planning or supply chain teams, with a coaching style that brings focus and anchors improvements in processes and systems.
  • Planning and S&OP: demonstrable experience running S&OP, IBP or comparable cross‑functional planning processes.
  • Hands‑on style: able to switch between daily operations, master planning and longer‑term scenarios, and to step into the details when needed.
  • Analytical skills: strong analytical ability with experience in data analysis, KPI management, capacity planning and inventory management.
  • Systems: good knowledge of ERP systems; experience with parameter management and system optimization is a strong plus.
  • Stakeholder management: persuasive and organizationally sensitive, able to operate at different levels and reach supported decisions.
  • Language: much of the team and customer context is in English, although Lamers requires someone with a conversational level of Dutch (around B1) for some internal meetings.
Offer
  • Impact: An impactful role building and leading the planning function in a high‑tech manufacturing environment at a moment when volumes are growing.
  • Development: Perspective to grow towards a broader, more integrated planning role, including the upcoming ERP implementation.
  • Package: A competitive remuneration package, including a pension scheme.
  • Hybrid working: in consultation, with a strong connection to the Nijmegen location.
  • Career perspective: within Aalberts advanced mechatronics and the wider Aalberts group.
