Role Purpose

Digital transactions are being reshaped by fundamental changes in payments, identity, data, technology and regulation. We’re looking for an experienced consulting leader who wants to help clients make sense of that change – and turn it into opportunity.

As a Manager at INNOPAY, you’ll lead high-impact client engagements, develop open and data-driven business models and bring together strategic thinking, deep subject-matter expertise and pragmatic execution.

You’ll also play an important role in developing our people, strengthening our propositions and accelerating INNOPAY’s growth in the Netherlands.

Meet The Team

You’ll join INNOPAY’s Amsterdam team and work with colleagues across INNOPAY and the wider Oliver Wyman business.

Your day-to-day collaborators will include consultants and subject-matter experts across payments, digital identity and data sharing, alongside international Oliver Wyman teams and senior client stakeholders.

You’ll lead project teams and have an important role in coaching and developing consultants, creating an environment where people can do excellent work and continue to grow.

• Delivering exceptional client impact. Leading complex consulting engagements from framing the problem through to developing pragmatic recommendations and solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and trusted client relationships.
• Growing our expertise and market presence. Bringing deep knowledge of digital transactions into our work, helping develop new propositions and thought leadership, and strengthening INNOPAY’s position in the Netherlands.
• Developing our people and our business. Building high-performing, inclusive teams, coach consultants and contribute actively to client development and new business opportunities.

Your Day-To-Day

• Leading client engagements. Taking ownership of international INNOPAY projects, coordinating teams and ensuring our work translates into tangible client impact. You’ll act as a trusted day-to-day client contact and keep teams focused on the outcomes that matter.
• Solving complex digital-transformation challenges. Helping clients develop digital strategies and open, data-driven business models. Depending on your expertise, this could span Open Finance, ecosystem business models, data strategy and exchange, APIs, customer journeys, product and service innovation, payment technology or data and payments regulation.
• Turning complexity into practical action. Structuring ambiguous challenges, guiding analysis and problem-solving, challenge thinking and translate insights into clear, innovative and pragmatic recommendations.
• Leading and developing others. Creating an inclusive, collaborative environment in which consultants can perform at their best. Coaching colleagues, sharing expertise and actively contributing to their development.
• Helping grow INNOPAY. Staying close to emerging commercial, regulatory and technological developments, bring fresh perspectives into our client work and play an active role in building relationships and identifying opportunities in the Dutch market.

Skills & What You Bring To The Team

We’re interested in experienced consultants who are excited by the opportunities created by digitalisation and want to build – and share – deep expertise in digital transactions.

You’ll bring:

• Significant experience in a top-tier consulting environment, including developing and/or executing digital strategies. The existing Manager profile envisages approximately 5–8 years’ experience, with Senior Manager candidates bringing experience appropriate to that more senior level.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas such as Open Finance, payments, ecosystem-based business models, data strategy and exchange, APIs, customer journeys, product and service innovation, payment technology, or regulation relating to data and payments.
• A track record of successfully leading consulting projects and teams, combined with excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial instincts and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, alongside an interest in helping develop INNOPAY’s business in the Netherlands.
• Intellectual curiosity, ownership and an inclusive leadership style – you enjoy getting beneath complex digitalisation topics, challenging established thinking and helping others develop.
• Fluency in English and the flexibility for travel is expected
