Job summary

Under Armour in Amsterdam is seeking a Manager Inventory & Allocations to lead the I&A team and ensure optimal inventory allocation across EMEA. You will act as SME, drive improvements, and partner with regional and global stakeholders to support LRP goals.

You will guide daily operations, oversee data accuracy, and advocate best practices in inventory movements, ATP, and reporting, while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics Management and/or analytical field is required.
• Proven system and process knowledge related to order management and inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA) in PTP or OTC areas is preferred.
• Strong data visualization skills using tools like Tableau.
• Excellent Excel skills and knowledge of MS Office.

Purpose of Role

The purpose of the Manager Inventory & Allocations (I&A) is to ensure we can deliver the best service to all our sales channels in EMEA, by optimizing the allocation of inventory and best-in-class accuracy of this inventory across the core systems.

The Manager is to lead and inspire this team of (Sr.) Professionals in daily tasks while also serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Super User to help drive forward projects and improvements needed in order to support the goals and Long Range Plan (LRP) strategy as defined by our Global and Regional Leadership team. This person provides input to the strategy and roadmap for I&A to continuously grow in its capability to serve the business.

Your Impact

• Manage team responsible for allocation, inventory control and corrections, transfers and troubleshooting for sales orders and/or store STOs for EMEA’s Wholesale, Distributors and DTC channels including consignments.
• Manage teammate(s) responsible for the allocation of orders that require intervention to optimize our service levels, improve stock positions, and support revenue opportunities.
• Manage teammate(s) responsible for daily monitoring of inventory discrepancies between our system, the stores and those of our partners, STOs between stores and DH locations, and the execution of processes to maintain these areas.
• Develop and drive the roadmap for I&A based on the LRP direction, and input from key business stakeholders and the I&A team itself.
• Continued engagement with internal and external business partners to understand needs and formulate this into business ideas and demands.
• Ensures knowledge sharing and education takes place with support of direct reports to cover gaps, and explain new functionalities and process understanding.
• Build knowledge around allocation, deliveries, ATP and inventory movements and serve as Super User for EMEA and drive knowledge sharing with other functions and regions.
• Act as regional SME and UAT for I&A, representing EMEA on projects both regional and globally that have impact on I&A responsibilities.
• Act as point of contact for Global counterparts. Building and maintaining our connection with specifically the NA team to ensure best practice sharing and harmonization of processes.
• Standardize and maintain SOPs and knowledge center for I&A in close conjunction with other regions.
• Be the inspirational leader for the Inventory & Allocations team by supporting the development plans for the teammates in this team, including solid succession planning and talent recognition.

• Proven system and process knowledge related to order management and inventory management.
• Strong analytical skills to identify areas of risk and opportunities based on system data, including proposal(s) to mitigate and improve.
• Able to conceptualize complex matters to support concise and clear communication across all layers and functions.
• Proven people management capabilities. Able to support, guide and inspire teammates, including constructive feedback to support their individual development plans.
• Escalates timely the Sr. Manager of this team, providing a clear overview of risks, impact and potential issue resolutions.
• Passionate about data, affinity with technology and strong drive in creating a data-driven culture within the team.
• Strong in root cause analysis that might go beyond the scope of the team. Pulling in other teammates timely to ensure quick and correct resolutions.
• Able to work under pressure, while making the right decisions regarding priorities
• Fully embraces the values and competences that Under Armour stands for. Leads by example towards other teammates.

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Logistics Management and/or Analytical Field
• 5+ years of combined experience with inventory management, orderbook management and/or order fulfilment, and leading teams in this or related functions.
• Hands on experience with SAP (preferably FMS or S/4 HANA) in the PTP or OTC area
• Fully familiar with the MS Office suite, excellent in Excel
• Strong in using data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Experience with Blue Yonder is preferred

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam, The Netherlands office.
• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.
