Job summary

BDR Thermea Group in the Netherlands is seeking a Manager Business Control to elevate the Markets (Commercial) control area and partner with the CCO. This hybrid role is based in Apeldoorn with 2-3 office days weekly and travel to local markets as needed.

You will lead the global business control team, deliver insights, and drive budgeting, forecasting and month-end closing while developing local control in line with the future Finance operating model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a senior business controller, including people management, at a large (1,500+ employees), preferably international corporate
• Master’s degree in Finance or Economics
• Strong business acumen: you connect financials to what actually drives operational performance
• Proven business partnering skills with senior operational and commercial stakeholders
• Sharp analytical and strategic thinking
• Ability to turn complex financial insight into a clear, compelling story for different audiences
• Strong affinity with data analytics and ERP systems

Responsibilities

Manager Business Control

Turn financial insight into impact, and help business control move from explaining results to driving them.

Your role

As Manager Business Control, you raise the bar on business control at BDR Thermea Group, from explaining financial results to actively driving them. You lead the Markets (Commercial) business control area yourself as business partner to our CCO, while growing into oversight of the full group business control team.

You also drive the professionalisation of local business control, in line with our future Finance target operating model. This is a hybrid role based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, with 2-3 office days per week and occasional travel to local markets.

Your team

You report to the Group Accounting & Control Director and manage the ommercial business control team of 2 FTE, and work in close cooperation with the Operations business control team

You work closely with the Management Board, Managing Directors, Finance Directors and Business Area Directors, and connect directly with local business controllers across our markets.
