Job summary

DocMorris is seeking skilled technicians for our Heerlen location to keep automated logistics running smoothly. You will maintain conveyor systems, troubleshoot issues quickly, and contribute to the future of digital healthcare in a high-tech distribution facility.

You should have vocational training in industrial mechanics or mechatronics, hands-on maintenance experience in logistics, and basic German/English skills (Dutch a plus). A2 shift rosters and occasional weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in industrial mechanics or mechatronics.
• Experience in maintenance within logistics or automated warehouses.
• Willingness to work at heights and on elevated conveyors.
• German and English proficiency; Dutch a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyor systems and mechatronic equipment.
• Install mechanical, electrical, and electronic components.
• Detect faults early and resolve them independently.
• Collaborate with external contractors on new installations and upgrades.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.

Your Responsibilities - Full of Technical Variety

• Inspect, maintain, and repair conveyor systems as well as mechatronic and electro-pneumatic equipment
• Professionally install mechanical, electrical, and electronic components
• Detect technical faults early and resolve them independently
• Collaborate with external contractors on new installations and upgrades
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement
• Read technical drawings and wiring diagrams as easily as the daily weather report

What You Bring to the Role

• Completed vocational training as an Industrial Mechanic, Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician (m/f/d), or equivalent qualification
• Professional experience, ideally in maintenance within a logistics or automated warehouse environment
• Comfortable working at heights (no fear of climbing / working on elevated conveyor platforms)
• Working knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens S7 / TIA Portal) is an asset
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and a structured way of working
• Good German and English skills - Dutch is a plus
• Flexibility and willingness to work in a 2-shift model (early and late shifts) as well as occasional weekend shifts (maximum twice a month, Saturday or Sunday)
