Job summary

FYGI - Happy Recruiters is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for one fixed, highly automated logistics site in Utrecht, the Netherlands. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, and work in a shift team.

The role requires living within ~35 km of Utrecht, you will join a small team of 6–7 technicians, operate on a 5-shift cycle (2 morning, 2 afternoon, 2 night) with four days off after six shifts, and work in English.

Qualifications

Hands-on with mechanics and electrics? Work at one fixed high-tech automated logistics site, earn €4,225–€4,745 gross incl. 30% shift allowance and enjoy 4 days off after 6 shifts.

Important location requirement: To be considered for this position, you must already live and be officially registered in the Netherlands within approximately 35 km of Utrecht. Relocation during or after the recruitment process is not possible for this vacancy.

Are you working as a Maintenance Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Automotive Technician, Service Technician, Maintenance Mechanic or in another hands-on technical role? Your current job title is less important than your ability to understand, maintain and repair technical equipment.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will join an international maintenance team at one fixed, highly automated logistics site in Utrecht. Together with your colleagues, you help keep approximately 14 kilometres of automated systems running 24/7.

Your work is practical and varied. You perform preventive and corrective maintenance and help resolve mechanical and electrical faults. One moment you may be replacing a bearing or repairing a shaft, the next you are checking a motor, sensor, drive or conveyor system.

The site uses extensive automation, barcode technology, sensors, electric motors and conveyor systems. You do not need to be a PLC specialist. What matters is that you can work with your hands, understand mechanical systems and have a good basic knowledge of electrics.

You work in a shift team of around 6–7 maintenance professionals. Jobs are normally carried out together with one or two colleagues, so you learn from experienced Engineers and Technicians while taking on more responsibility as your knowledge grows.

The working language is English; Dutch is not required.

You work in a 5-shift schedule:

• 2 morning shifts: 06:00–14:30
• 2 afternoon shifts: 14:00–22:30
• 2 night shifts: 22:00–06:30
• followed by 4 days off

You start directly in your own shift team with structured on-the-job training and access to an extensive internal learning platform.
