You will join a newly commissioned facility to keep manufacturing equipment, production assets, and utilities safe, reliable, and operational, supporting the maintenance department and the wider manufacturing team — shift role (16/7) with effective working hours of 37.3/week and a 26.19% shift allowance. This is a hands‑on role where your troubleshooting, reliability work, and collaboration will directly impact the success of the Sassenheim site and its integration with the larger Leiden maintenance organization!

You will be responsible for:
  • Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment and utility installations, and formally hand over completed work to the equipment/utility owner to maintain operational continuity.
  • Troubleshoot complex failures, analyze root causes, document findings, and log troubleshooting results (fault tree, code analysis, materials used) in the CMMS to support reliability and future fixes.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and reliability improvement initiatives, and proactively suggest and implement maintenance process improvements.
  • Assist with second‑line troubleshooting when needed, determine spare part needs independently, and retrieve and register parts in CMMS and the warehouse to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate priorities with operations, accompany and support external service providers during maintenance activities, and help with installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records, perform periodic checks (daily/weekly/monthly), execute Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out (LOTO) activities, and ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and GMP standards.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Relevant technical diploma at MBO 3/4 level or VAPRO B/C in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Measurement & Control Technology.
  • 0–3 years of hands‑on experience in a maintenance or technical environment with demonstrated ability to locate, analyze, and resolve malfunctions.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals to carry out safe and effective maintenance.
  • Good computer proficiency, including practical use of CMMS and MS Office for recording maintenance activities and reporting.
  • Holds NEN certification or is willing to obtain it, and possession of a valid B driving license.
  • Collaborative communicator with a proactive, results‑oriented attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a clear focus on safety and quality.
