Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Holland, MI is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to optimize maintenance activities and support safe, compliant plant operations. The role serves as a subject matter expert in the CMMS/ERP system (Plex preferred) and drives work execution through detailed planning, weekly scheduling, backlog control, and robust job packages.

Qualifications

Strong CMMS/ERP knowledge, preferably Plex.
Ability to read diagrams, drawings, layouts, and equipment documentation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and scheduling tools.
Highly organized with strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
Experience in automotive manufacturing and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, corrective, routine, shutdown, outage, and identified improvement work for production equipment and facility systems.
Verify scope, labor requirements, permits, parts availability, tooling, access, drawings, and estimated labor hours before scheduling.
Build complete job packages including scope, sequence, safety, drawings, BOM, tools, and labor estimates.
Develop and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule with labor loading and equipment availability.
Coordinate planning and scheduling with internal crafts, contractors, and third‑party providers.
Maintain CMMS/ERP data, create work orders with clear scope and readiness, and track history.
