Job summary

XIVER is a specialized high-tech scale-up at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, looking for a Maintenance Engineer to keep critical production equipment safe, reliable and available in a dynamic fab environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, analyze failures to identify root causes, and work closely with Operations, Engineering and Quality to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or associate degree in a technical field and hands-on maintenance experience in a production environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze failures and identify root causes with clear documentation.
  • Knowledge of safety, cleanroom rules and contamination control, with good communication across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, 8D’s and implement improvements.
  • Prepare and execute maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
  • Manage spare parts, maintenance plans and technical documentation.
  • Support upgrades, qualifications and supplier interventions.
  • Communicate clearly on equipment status, risks and actions.
  • Work closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Quality and Facilities.
  • Align maintenance activities with production priorities.
  • Share knowledge, support colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Drive a culture of safety, ownership and reliability.

Job description

  • Location: Eindhoven, The Netherlands, High Tech Campus.

As Maintenance Engineer, you keep critical production equipment safe, reliable and available in our
high-tech cleanroom environment. You combine hands-on troubleshooting with structured analysis
and work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Facilities and suppliers to minimize downtime.

The challenge

You keep production equipment reliable, safe and available in a dynamic fab environment. You solve
issues at the tool and look for the root cause behind recurring problems. You work within procedures
but use data and practical experience to choose the best approach.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, 8D’s and implement improvements.

Your profile

Must-have

  • Bachelor or associate degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or similar.
  • Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting or equipment engineering in a production environment.
  • Ability to analyse failures and distinguish symptoms from root causes.
  • Awareness of safety, quality, cleanroom rules and contamination control.
  • Clear documentation and communication with operators, engineers, quality, facilities and suppliers.
  • You are flexible and open to working either day shifts or in a shift pattern, depending on operational needs.
  • You are willing to participate in the on-call duty rota, an integral part of this role.

Nice to have

  • Experience with complex process equipment or comparable high-tech production tools.
  • Knowledge of SPC, FDC, OEE, MTTR/MTBF, CAPA, FMEA or Kaizen.
  • Experience with vendor support, tool qualification, upgrades or major maintenance events.
  • Experience in high-mix low-volume production or a scale-up environment.
  • You take ownership and follow through until the root cause and next steps are clear.
  • You remain calm and analytical under production pressure.
  • You have a proactive, hands-on mindset and are flexible when needed.
  • You are a pragmatic team player with a no-nonsense approach.
