Job summary

PostNL Zwolle is seeking a mail sorter to support festive-season operations. You will operate sorting equipment, check, label and sort mail for accurate delivery. This is a flexible, part-time position with multiple shifts and a minimum 15 hours per week, requiring own transport to the Zwolle sorting center.

Shifts include morning, afternoon, evening, and night. A €100 net referral bonus is offered if a referred candidate also works for at least two weeks.

Qualifications

• Must have at least basic Dutch and/or English to understand safety instructions.
• Able to perform physically heavier work, standing and lifting parcels up to 15 kg.
• Own transport is required to reach the sorting center.

The holidays are just not the same without a nice string of cards hanging on the wall. Delivering all of these cards on time every year is quite the chore! That’s why PostNL Zwolle could really use your help as a mail sorter.

Good to know! After 1 December, we expect an increase in work related to the festive season. From then on, more services will be available.

What will you need at least?

• Own transport, because the location can not be reached by public transport
• Availability of at least 15 hours per week from Monday to Friday
• Goodunderstanding of the Dutch and/or Englishlanguage

What will you be doing?

Sorting mail! You do this using a sorting machine. You check, label and sort all mail so that it can be delivered to the right address.

What do you get out of it?

• Gross salary of €14.99 per hour (excluding shift bonus)
• Shift bonuses between 20% and 40% (depending on the shift)
• Flexible, part-time position of at least three shifts a week (if you want and there is work available, we will be happy to schedule you more!)
• Travel expense allowance in accordance with the PostNL collective labour agreement

Earn a €100 net referral bonus! This is how it works: you propose someone who would also like to work as a mail sorter at PostNL. If you have both been working for at least two weeks, the bonus will be credited to your account!

We've all seen PostNL's logo at some point. But have you ever wondered what happens between putting a letter in the mailbox and it is being delivered at the right address? Every card, letter and parcel will be brought to a PostNL sorting center, where it is checked, sorted and sent out again. You too can be part of this process. Especially during the busy festive season, your superpowers are more than welcome!

Working hours

• Morning shift between 6.00 and 15.00 hrs.
• Afternoon shift between 11:30 and 20:00 hrs.
• Evening shift between 17.30 and 2.00 hrs.
• Night shift between 23.00 and 7.00 hrs.

An average shift lasts 3 to 5 hours. It is possible that your shift may run longer.

Would you like to work in different shifts? You only need to apply for one vacancy! In consultation with you, we will then decide which shifts you will work.

• At least seventeen years old (you must be at least eighteen years old to work evening and/or night shifts)
• Good enough understanding of the Dutch and/or Englishlanguage to be able to comprehend the safety instructions
• Able to perform physically heavier work, as you mainly work standing up and lift parcels up to fifteen kilograms
• Own transport to get to the work location (such as a car, scooter or bicycle), as it is not possible to reach the sorting center by public transport
• Able to provide a VOG (Certificate of Conduct)
