Job summary

Uitzendbureau zoekt een hands-on Workshop Technician om de werkplaatsoperaties te ondersteunen bij het assembleren, onderhouden en testen van apparatuur en basisbewerkingen. Je werkt met hand- en/ of elektrisch gereedschap, volgt procedures en draagt bij aan kwaliteit, veiligheid en efficiëntie.

De rol vereist praktische, oplossingsgerichte vaardigheden, de mogelijkheid om technische tekeningen te lezen en een proactieve teammentaliteit.

Qualifications

• Geen minimale opleiding vereist.
• Je beheerst Engels.

Responsibilities

• Monteren en demonteren van gespecialiseerde mechanische apparatuur met hand- en elektrische gereedschappen.
• Inspecteren, testen, kalibreren en onderhouden van apparatuur volgens vastgestelde procedures.
• Ondersteunen van de workshopprocessen zodat workflows correct gevolgd worden.
• Assisteren bij het gereedmaken van apparatuur voor uitgaande projecten en het verwerken van inkomende apparatuur (inspectie, reiniging, testen en onderhoud).
• Helpen bij het organiseren van gereedschap en materialen zodat projectteams tijdig beschikken over benodigde uitrusting.
• Voeren van eenvoudige productie- en verspanende taken zoals draaien, frezen, slijpen, meten en lassen.
• Nauwkeurige registraties bijhouden in databases en inventaris.
• Bijdragen aan een schone, georganiseerde en veilige werkplaats en terrein.
• Ritten doen wanneer nodig (rijbewijscategorie B).
• Technische kennis en vakkennis continu blijven ontwikkelen.

Vacaturebeschrijving Our client is looking for a hands-on Workshop Technician to support workshop operations through equipment assembly, maintenance, testing, and basic machining activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, technical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

• Assemble and disassemble specialized mechanical equipment using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Support workshop operations by ensuring workflows and processes are followed correctly.
• Assist with preparing equipment for outgoing projects and processing incoming equipment, including inspection, cleaning, testing, and maintenance.
• Help organize tools and materials to ensure project teams have the correct equipment available when needed.
• Perform basic manufacturing and machining tasks, including turning, milling, grinding, measuring, and welding activities.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and inventory information.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe workshop and yard environment.
• Carry out driving duties when required.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and industry expertise.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of workshop machinery and machining processes.
• Ability to read technical drawings is a must.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues.
• VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Commitment to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Fluent communication skills in English. Also, Dutch is a big plus.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work overtime when operational needs require it, as some periods are busier than others.
• On call shift: 1x every 6 weeks office phone calls are direct to one member of the team from a Friday afternoon through to the next Thursday (one week total).
• Valid Category B driving license (B+E is an advantage).
• Residency in Assen or the surrounding area
