Job summary

Haworth is seeking a Weekend Shift Machine Operator 2 to join our Holland team. You will operate production machinery, set up programs, and monitor daily schedules to meet customer orders, with overtime as needed.

Required qualifications include 2 years manufacturing experience or 1 year at Haworth, plus forklift certification and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You may be asked to work weekends/holidays and to adapt to changes in production needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years manufacturing experience or 1 year Haworth manufacturing experience or be a Certified Machine Operator from accredited educational/vocational facility
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (hilo) certification
• Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to flex work schedule and overtime may be required including weekends and/or holidays per business demands

Responsibilities

• Accesses electronic production system to determine daily schedule.
• Verifies parts received against pick tickets for accurate counts, colors, part numbers, and packaging. Monitors material flow and updates electronic production system accordingly.
• Selects the appropriate machine settings or program according to specifications.
• Sets up and operates machine. Makes minor machine adjustments. May make simple repairs.
• Performs change-overs (adjusts tooling or tolerances, selects programs, etc.).
• Investigates & documents production nonconformance issues.
• May be required to operate a powered industrial truck and/or overhead lift system.
• Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

We are currently looking for a Machine Operator 2 to join our team in Holland on the Weekend Shift.

Operates assigned production machinery in accordance with company standards to complete customer orders.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years manufacturing experience required OR 1 year Haworth manufacturing experience OR be a Certified Machine Operator from accredited educational/vocational facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Prior machine operator experience
• Computer experience, including keyboard/mouse skills
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments, such as gauges and tape measures
