Job summary

GLS Utrecht zoekt een Logistics Supervisor die zorgt voor een vlotte dagelijkse operatie in een dynamische logistieke omgeving. Je stuurt een divers team aan en bewaakt deadlines, efficiëntie en kwaliteit.

Je coördineert processen, rapporteert in het Nederlands of Engels en werkt nauw samen met vestigingen, transportplanners en uitzendkrachten. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor ploegplanning, urenregistratie en veiligheidsvoorschriften.

Qualifications

• MBO niveau 3, bij voorkeur logistiek.
• 2–3 jaar leiderschapservaring in productieomgevingen.
• Bediening van logistieke systemen en MS Office.
• Vloeiend in Nederlands en/of Engels.

Responsibilities

• Dagelijkse logistieke operaties monitoren en coördineren.
• Dagelijkse activiteiten organiseren en personeelsroosters maken.
• Leiden, coachen en ondersteunen van logistieke medewerkers bij onboarding.
• Zorgen voor tijdige afhandeling van import-, export- en binnenlandse zendingen.
• KPIs volgen en bijsturen om kwaliteit en productiviteit te waarborgen.
• Knelpunten identificeren en continue verbeteringen doorvoeren.
• Samenwerken met vestigingen, transportplanners en uitzendbureaus.
• Time registration, verlofaanvragen en rapportages beheren.
• Comply met procedures, richtlijnen en gezondheids- en veiligheidsvoorschriften.
• Een veilige, georganiseerde en efficiënte werkomgeving handhaven, inclusief controles op materiaal.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and coordinate daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes throughout your shift.
• Organize daily activities and create effective workforce schedules based on priorities and operational needs.
• Lead, coach, and support logistics employees while onboarding and training new team members.
• Ensure the timely and accurate handling of import, export, and domestic freight flows.
• Track operational KPIs and take corrective actions to maintain quality, productivity, and performance targets.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes.
• Collaborate with branches, transport coordinators, and staffing agencies regarding planning, workforce requirements, and operational deviations.
• Manage time registration, leave requests, absence administration, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, guidelines, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, including conducting checks on equipment and materials.

• Gross monthly salary between €3000 and €4150, excluding allowances.
• Temporary contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
• Full-time role, 40 hours per week.
• 13.75% shift allowance on top of your salary.

• MBO level 3, preferably in logistics.
• 2-3 years of leadership in production environments.
• Proficiency in logistics systems and MS Office.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or English.
• pro-active attitude and willing to motivate employees.
• Available for evening and nightsifts and sometimes on Sundays.
