Job summary

GLS Utrecht zoekt een Team Leader HUB om de logistieke operaties te leiden en teamleden te coachen in een dynamische omgeving. Je rapporteert aan de supervisor en werkt nauw samen met transporteurs en filialen. Een proactieve leider met logistieke ervaring wordt gezocht.

De rol biedt een fulltime positie in Utrecht met een marktconform salaris en extra’s zoals een shifttoeslag en reiskostenvergoeding.

Qualifications

• MBO niveau 3, bij voorkeur logistiek gerelateerd.
• 2–3 jaar ervaring met leidinggeven in productieomgevingen.
• Goede kennis van logistieke systemen en MS Office.
• Vloeiend in Nederlands en/of Engels.
• Proactieve houding en talent om medewerkers te motiveren.

Responsibilities

• Stuur dagelijks logistieke operaties aan en zorg voor efficiënte processen tijdens de dienst.
• Organiseer dagelijkse taken en rooster het personeel op basis van prioriteiten.
• Leid, coach en train logistieke medewerkers en neem onboarding mee.
• Zorg voor tijdige afhandeling van import, export en binnenlandse vrachtstromen.
• Volg KPI’s, onderneem corrigerende acties voor kwaliteit en productiviteit.
• Identificeer knelpunten en voer continue verbeteringsinitiatieven door.

Wat je gaat doen

As a Logistics Supervisor at GLS Utrecht, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. You’ll work with a diverse team, managing fluctuating volumes and tight deadlines while maintaining efficiency and quality. With your leadership skills and understanding of logistics systems, you’ll coordinate processes, communicate effectively in both Dutch and English, and contribute to a collaborative workplace.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and coordinate daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes throughout your shift.
• Organize daily activities and create effective workforce schedules based on priorities and operational needs.
• Lead, coach, and support logistics employees while onboarding and training new team members.
• Ensure the timely and accurate handling of import, export, and domestic freight flows.
• Track operational KPIs and take corrective actions to maintain quality, productivity, and performance targets.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes.
• Collaborate with branches, transport coordinators, and staffing agencies regarding planning, workforce requirements, and operational deviations.
• Manage time registration, leave requests, absence administration, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, guidelines, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, including conducting checks on equipment and materials.

• Gross monthly salary between €3000 and €4150, excluding allowances.
• Temporary contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
• Contract with GLS for a full-time role, 40 hours per week.
• 13.75% shift allowance on top of your salary.
