Job summary

GLS Utrecht zoekt een Logistics Supervisor Team Leader HUB om dagelijkse logistieke operaties te coördineren en het team te leiden in een dynamische omgeving. Je bewaakt performance en hijst continue verbeteringen door samenwerking met filialen en medewerkers.

Je beschikt over MBO 3 in logistiek en 2–3 jaar leidinggevende ervaring, beheerst logistieke systemen en MS Office, en communiceert vloeiend in Nederlands en Engels.

Qualifications

• MBO niveau 3, logistiek met 2–3 jaar leiderschapservaring.
• Ervaring met logistieke systemen en MS Office.
• Vloeiend in Nederlands en/of Engels.
• Proactieve houding en motivatie om medewerkers te blijven motiveren.

Responsibilities

• Bewaken en coördineren van dagelijkse logistieke operaties tijdens jouw dienst.
• Organiseren van dagelijkse activiteiten en ploegroosters op basis van prioriteiten.
• Leiden, coachen en onboarden van logistiek personeel.
• Zorgen voor tijdige afhandeling van import-, export-, en binnenlandse zendingen.
• Volgen van KPI's en nemen van corrigerende acties om kwaliteit en productiviteit te waarborgen.
• Identificeren van knelpunten en doorvoeren van verbeterinitiatieven in logistieke processen.
• Samenwerken met vestigingen, transportcoördinatoren en uitzendbureaus voor planning en afwijkingen.
• Beheer van tijdregistratie, verlof en operationele rapportage.
• Zorg voor naleving van procedures, gezondheids- en veiligheidsvoorschriften.
• Zorg voor een veilige, georganiseerde en efficiënte werkomgeving.

As a Logistics Supervisor at GLS Utrecht, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth flow of daily operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. You'll work with a diverse team, managing fluctuating volumes and tight deadlines while maintaining efficiency and quality. With your leadership skills and understanding of logistics systems, you'll coordinate processes, communicate effectively in both Dutch and English, and contribute to a collaborative workplace.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and coordinate daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes throughout your shift.
• Organize daily activities and create effective workforce schedules based on priorities and operational needs.
• Lead, coach, and support logistics employees while onboarding and training new team members.
• Ensure the timely and accurate handling of import, export, and domestic freight flows.
• Track operational KPIs and take corrective actions to maintain quality, productivity, and performance targets.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes.
• Collaborate with branches, transport coordinators, and staffing agencies regarding planning, workforce requirements, and operational deviations.
• Manage time registration, leave requests, absence administration, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, guidelines, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, including conducting checks on equipment and materials.

• Gross monthly salary between €3000 and €4150, excluding allowances.
• Temporary contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
• Contract with GLS for a full-time role, 40 hours per week.
• 13.75% shift allowance on top of your salary.
