Job summary

GLS Utrecht zoekt een Logistics Supervisor om dagelijkse operaties te sturen in een dynamische logistieke omgeving. Je leidt een divers team en bewaakt efficiëntie en kwaliteit terwijl je processen coördineert en rapportages verzorgt.

Je beschikt over leidinggevende ervaring in logistiek, bent bekend met logistieke systemen en MS Office, en communiceert vloeiend in Nederlands en/of Engels. Een tijdelijke aanstelling met uitzicht op vast hoort erbij.

Qualifications

• Leiding geven aan een logistiek team en processen sturen.
• Goede kennis van logistieke systemen en MS Office.
• Vloeiend in Nederlands en/of Engels is gewenst.

Responsibilities

• Monitoren en coördineren van dagelijkse logistieke operaties.
• Plan van dagelijkse activiteiten en roosters maken op basis van prioriteiten.
• Coachen en trainen van teamleden en onboarding verzorgen.
• Zorgdragen voor tijdige afhandeling van import, export en binnenlandse zendingen.
• Volgen van KPI's en bijsturen waar nodig.
• Samenwerken met filialen, vervoersplanners en uitzendbureaus.

With your leadership skills and understanding of logistics systems, you’ll coordinate processes, communicate effectively in Dutch or English, and contribute to a collaborative workplace.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and coordinate daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes throughout your shift.
• Organize daily activities and create effective workforce schedules based on priorities and operational needs.
• Lead, coach, and support logistics employees while onboarding and training new team members.
• Ensure the timely and accurate handling of import, export, and domestic freight flows.
• Track operational KPIs and take corrective actions to maintain quality, productivity, and performance targets.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics processes.
• Collaborate with branches, transport coordinators, and staffing agencies regarding planning, workforce requirements, and operational deviations.
• Manage time registration, leave requests, absence administration, and operational reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, guidelines, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, including conducting checks on equipment and materials.

• Temporary contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
• Full-time role, 40 hours per week.
• 13.75% shift allowance on top of your salary.

• MBO level 3, preferably in logistics.
• 2-3 years of leadership in production environments.
• Proficiency in logistics systems and MS Office.
• Fluent in Dutch and/or English.
• pro-active attitude and willing to motivate employees.
• Available for evening and nightsifts and sometimes on Sundays.
