Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Bleiswijk is seeking a Logistics Engineer to design, execute and coordinate improvements in a highly automated fashion warehouse. You will focus on process design, throughput, quality and KPI optimization, handling inbound, pick & stow and outbound subprocesses.

You will collaborate with engineers, operations teams and central teams, manage multiple projects, and coordinate across The Hague, Nieuwegein and Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Min. HBO (applied sciences) level.
• At least 3 years of logistics experience in a highly automated setting.
• Experience with project-based work.
• Proficient with automated systems and MS Office, especially Excel.
• IT side of processes (WMS) knowledge.
• English language is a requirement.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Logistics Engineer for one of Europe’s most modern fashion warehouses locatedinBleiswijk.As aLogisticsEngineer you will be responsible for thedesign,execution andcoordinationof improvementand implementationprojects. These projectshave a focuson process designandperformance(throughput times, delivery, quality, etc.).You will also betheexpertofa subprocesslike Inbound,Pick&Stowor Outbound. You willshare your knowledge with other warehouses and work on optimization projects with central teams.You are a star in problem definition, innovative solutions and making it all work like a dream.Thanks to your good ideas, designs and project executions,our departments will work more effectively and efficiently. You contribute directly tothe site’ssuccess.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

As aLogisticsEngineer, you will work with fellow Engineers, Operational teams, the Control Room and the leadership teamon multiple projects. Depending on your experience and ambition,and your main subprocess expertise,the different projects will be divided within the team. The complexity of projectsisdiverse. Think of designingnewprocessesor analyzing the current warehouseflow,makebusiness cases for decisionson proposed changes, improving operational KPIsandmanageprojects likeanimplementation ofa newproducts with ourcustomer.

Specifically, you will perform the following duties:

• Identify desired changes by analyzing existing processes, procedures and(WMS)systems.
• Coordinating a (partial) implementation or improvement project.
• Advising internal and externalstakeholders.
• Reporting on and administering the work.

You will work at our warehouse location inBleiswijk.You’reare part of the Operational Excellenceteamon this site. You have close contact with your fellow Engineers inThe Hague,Nieuwegeinand Amsterdamand are willing to offer them support when needed. Monday to Friday are your workingdays and you are flexible in arranging your working hours within office hours (08:00-18:00). Working from home is possible by mutual agreement.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The person we are looking forenjoys optimizing processes within a large logistics environment. You are good at accurately processing, analyzing,monitoring data, drawing the right conclusions, communicating proposals and coordinating the project to implement proposals.You have a lot of contact with different colleagues, so we are looking for someone who is communicatively strong. Also, you are stress resistant and have a mindset where continuous improvement prevails.

You will bring the following knowledge and experience, among others:

• MinimumHBO(applied sciences)working and thinking level
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in logistics, or in consulting or interim assignments related to logistics and supply chainin a highly automated environment
• Experience with project-based work
• Highlyproficient with automated systems and with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Experience with the IT side of the processes (functional understanding of WMS systems)
• Good command of the English language is a requirement (the working language is English)

• A gross monthly salary between € 3,206,84 and €4,676.13 and 8% holiday pay (grading depending on your work experience and level of education).
