Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Zaandam is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the inbound, outbound and expedition teams, ensuring KPI achievement and Lean process improvements. You will manage and coach 18–20 colleagues and 3 assistant supervisors, driving safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

You report to the Operations Manager, work hours 08:00–17:00, with every two months a weekend shift; opportunities for growth and a CEVA Academy path are available.

Warehouse Supervisor

CEVA Logistics is a leading international logistics service provider. In the Benelux region, we operate over 50 locations spread across 30 sites, where more than 11,000 colleagues contribute daily to our success.

YOUR ROLE

You will manage and organize your warehouse team for the Inbound, Expedition and Outbound department for two customers. Because of you, the logistics process is a well-oiled machine, where the actual and monthly KPIs are achieved! Opportunities for improvement in the logistics process do not pass you by and you proactively approach them with your colleagues within the LEAN philosophy. Terms such as Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma are more than familiar to you and you use them to further optimize the logistics process. In addition, you take the performance of your team to an even higher level and you ensure that your team works motivated in a safe environment!

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing, coaching,developingand evaluating the assistant supervisors and employees in your team
• Leading the daily operations and responsible for achievingKPIsand plans
• In cooperation with your colleagues making the right decisions foran optimaloverall process
• Optimizingthe efficiency of people and resources
• Carrying out measurements, making reports and analyses
• Conducting performance and assessment interviews, absencecounseling
• Ensuring a clean and safe working environment (lean / 5S).

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

Your workplace is at our location in Zaandam! There you will be part of the Warehouse Operations Team, consisting of 18 till 20 colleagues and 3 Assistant Warehouse Supervisors. Together you ensure that orders are processed in a good and efficient way. You will do this in a driven and professional atmosphere, where there is plenty of room for fun and connection! You report to Operations Manager and your working hours between 08:00 and 17:00. Once every two months you will have a weekend shift and a evening shift is possible but very sporadic due to the end of a quartal.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor who has a proactive attitude and is able to work independently. You are a people-oriented professional who knows how to engage and motivate your team and colleagues to achieve operational goals. With your coaching leadership style, you help employees develop their skills and ensure they enjoy coming to work every day. Continuous improvement is one of your key priorities, and you have a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations. As logistics is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you thrive under pressure and are able to manage stress effectively.

In addition, you bring the following knowledge and skills:

• MBO/HBO level of education and working ability (equivalent to vocational college or bachelor's degree level);
• Affinity with leadership and the logistics environment (preferably in contract logistics);
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Experience with process improvement initiatives, preferably within a Lean environment;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written; and
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3.299 and € 4.462 plus 8% holiday pay (classification depending on, among other things, your work experience and level of education);
