Job summary

GLS is een internationale pakketbezorger met een locatie in Utrecht. Als Logistics Employee ondersteun je het dagelijkse sorteerproces in het magazijn en werk je in een team aan een efficiënte logistiek.

Je taken variëren en omvatten laden/lossen, scannen en sorteren, en controleren op onregelmatigheden volgens ADR-regels. Je werkt flexibel, met kans op een vast dienstverband en EPT-certificering.

Qualifications

• Praktisch ingesteld, handwerkelijk werk.
• Vaardigheid in veiligheid en naleving van procedures.
• Bereidheid om tot 20 kg te tillen.
• EPT-certificaat is gewenst maar niet verplicht.

Responsibilities

• Ondersteunen van dagelijkse sorteerdag in het magazijn.
• Laden en lossen van pakketten volgens veiligheidsinstructies.
• Pakketten scannen en sorteren, inclusief mini-pakketten en NOCOs.
• Controleren op onregelmatigheden en gevaarlijke goederen volgens ADR.
• Werkplek schoon, veilig en georganiseerd houden.
• Samen met het team zorgen voor een soepele logistieke afhandeling.

Wat ga je precies doen

As a Logistics Employee, you will support the daily sorting process in the warehouse. Your tasks will vary throughout the day and require an active and accurate approach. Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading parcels in accordance with safety instructions.
• Scanning and sorting parcels, including mini parcels and NOCOs.
• Checking parcels for irregularities and dangerous goods in accordance with ADR regulations.
• Keeping the workplace clean, safe and organised.
• Assisting with various warehouse and logistics tasks when needed.

You will work as part of a team to ensure that the logistics process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Wat bieden we jou

• A gross hourly wage of €14.99, excluding shift allowances.
• Additional evening and night shift allowances:
• 8:00 PM to midnight: 8.75% allowance, resulting in approximately €16.30 gross per hour.
• Midnight to 5:00 AM: 11.75% allowance, resulting in approximately €16.75 gross per hour.
• Working hours ranging from 16 to 40 hours per week.
• Different shifts to choose from:
• Day shift: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Night shift: 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM.
• A temporary employment contract with the possibility of a permanent position.
• Travel cost reimbursement and parking facilities.
• Opportunities to develop new skills, including obtaining an Electric Pallet Truck (EPT) certificate.

Functie-eisen

• You enjoy practical, hands-on work and like being physically active. In addition:
• You speak Dutch and/or English.
• You are flexible and willing to work different shifts.
• You work accurately and follow safety procedures.
• You are a team player and can remain calm in a busy environment.
• You are comfortable with physically demanding work and can lift parcels weighing up to 20 kg.
• You are willing to obtain an EPT certificate.

Previous experience in logistics is an advantage, but a positive attitude and willingness to work are just as important.
