Job summary

Air Apps is seeking a DevOps Engineer - Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate with developers to streamline deployments, improve scalability, and ensure reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and serverless computing.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).
• Hands-on with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based systems, networking, and security best practices.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization, scalability, and high-availability architectures.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices including IAM, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency and troubleshoot issues.
• Optimize cloud resource usage for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of infrastructure.
• Stay updated with emerging DevOps tools and practices.
