Job summary

Avantor in Schiphol-Rijk is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join the Lab and Production Services team. The role focuses on receiving samples, preparing shipments, and managing material inventories in a GMP environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00, with a one-year contract that may become permanent after evaluation. Practical experience in logistics or admin, good English, and proficiency in MS Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• MBO3 or 4 lab studies preferred, depending on experience.
• Lab experience is an asset.
• Proficient in MS Office; in particular Excel.
• Fluent English; Dutch is an asset.
• Knowledge of chemicals is a great asset.
• Experience in an administrative GMP environment is a plus.
• Detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples from the sampling team.
• Prepare equipment and ensure availability at all times.
• Prepare shipments and verify materials present.
• Manage inventory by placing orders and tracking with the coordinator.
• Manage certificates for analytical checks and paperwork.
• Prepare samples for storage; maintain retain logs.
• Dispose of in-process samples as required.
