Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Design Engineer for the Single-Use Designing team, based in Hillegom, Netherlands. The role involves developing and creating drawings and prototypes for single-use products in life sciences/biopharma, under hybrid work arrangements (two days remote).

A 1-year contract is offered with a competitive base salary plus 13th month, bonus scheme, holidays, and pension. Responsibilities include creating approval drawings, BOM/MOM maintenance in ERP, feasibility studies, and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Biomedical Engineering.
• 2–3 years in design engineering; experience in developing drawings is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks; MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop and create approval drawings, product engineering docs, prototypes, and sample sets.
• Ensure assemblies meet customer performance criteria and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineers, account managers, production, and quality teams.
