Job summary

MARIN is seeking a lead software test engineer to ensure the quality and stability of its real-time DOLPHIN simulation software. You will design, implement, and execute test strategies, both manual and automated, and own the testing process in a collaborative, international environment.

Join a team of eight software developers in the Simulation & Visualisation department, with opportunities to influence testing procedures and release cycles for world-class maritime simulators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in software testing.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools (TestComplete and Atlassian Suite).
• Experience in testing desktop applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage software engineers to adopt and follow testing procedures.
• A proactive mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute test strategies – both manual and automated – for the real-time DOLPHIN simulation software.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to support release cycles and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of the testing process and help shape the quality assurance strategy.
