Job summary

24x7 Holding in Haarlem/Amsterdam area seeks an all-round infrastructure leader to own operational and technical outcomes for a stable hosting platform. You will mentor one onsite technician, manage key accounts, and coordinate daily remote/ onsite tasks to keep services running smoothly.

The role combines high-level network management with client relations and leadership, offering autonomy and direct access to management in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Dutch and English required due to Dutch client base.
• Deep Linux experience with various distributions; Windows Server knowledge basic.
• Strong networking knowledge (routing/switching); multi-vendor experience a plus (Arista/Juniper).
• Familiar with Proxmox virtualization.
• Based in Haarlem/Amsterdam area; willing to undergo background check and VOG.

Responsibilities

• Fully responsible for the operational and technical end-results for clients.
• Primary contact for large key accounts and direct daily workflows.

About the organization

We are an established and financially healthy provider of unmanaged dedicated servers and managed colocation. With 20+ years of experience, our own network running behind our own ASN, and a loyal customer base of developers and hosting companies, we are known for stability and a no-nonsense approach. Following a successful company sale in early 2026, the founder is scaling back operational tasks and is looking for a reliable technical heavyweight to run daily operations autonomously.

What you will do

In this role, you will be fully responsible for the operational and technical end-results delivered to our clients. You will act as the primary contact for our large key accounts and direct daily workflows. As a working lead, you combine high-level network management and client communication with the leadership of one onsite employee in Amsterdam who supports you in daily remote/physical tasks.

• Network & Infrastructure: Manage and optimize our core network. Maintain uptime and act as Level 3 escalation for complex network or hardware incidents.
• Client Relations & Account Management: Speak the language of our clients (mostly sysadmins and tech professionals). Solve deep technical inquiries and spot commercial opportunities for renewals or upsells.
• Team Leadership: Coach and support the junior onsite technician who handles first-line tasks and physical datacenter deployments. Step in whenever necessary.
• Procurement & Directing: Keep a close eye on capacity/inventory and prepare purchase orders (hardware, transits) in alignment with management.

Your profile

You are a pragmatic engineer who maintains a helicopter view, possesses strong communication skills, and takes extreme ownership.

• Language: Fluency in both Dutch and English is a hard requirement (due to our Dutch client base).
• Deep, proven experience with Linux (various distributions) and basic knowledge of Windows Server.
• Strong networking knowledge (routing/switching). Experience in a multi-vendor environment (Arista and/or Juniper) is a big plus, but mastering the technology behind an ASN is what matters most.
• Familiar with virtualization platforms like Proxmox.
• You enjoy taking full responsibility while guiding and growing one junior colleague.
• Based in the Haarlem/Amsterdam area, discreet, and willing to undergo a thorough background check and VOG (Certificate of Good Conduct) procedure due to sensitive core access.

• Salary: A solid base salary starting from € 6,000.- gross per month (depending on experience).
