Job summary

C Teleport’s Netherlands-based team is seeking a Lead to steer one of two squads—Billing and Back Office, Integration & Ecosystem. You own the technical direction, ship reliable solutions, and stay hands-on in production code while managing people and performance.

You’ll report to the CTO and collaborate with the Product Owner in Rotterdam. This hybrid role requires 7+ years in software engineering with .NET/C#, 2+ years leading teams, and strong architecture knowledge.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with deep .NET / C# expertise.
• 2+ years leading engineers as a Team Lead / EM, with people-management responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on coding background; you would rather write code than avoid it.
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools for day-to-day work.
• Solid grasp of architectural patterns (SOLID, TDD, DDD, Event Sourcing, CQRS); relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and message brokers (RabbitMQ); microservices with Docker.
• Based in the Netherlands and able to work from Rotterdam office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Own the squad's technical direction from design to implementation.
• Own delivery outcomes; ensure reliable, complete solutions and production readiness.
• Stay hands-on: contribute production code and lead reviews.
• Partner with the Product Owner to shape the roadmap and MVPs.
• Challenge estimates, surface risks early, safeguard production stability, manage incidents.
• Enforce coding standards and evaluate new technology with Architects Group.
• Line-manage engineers; own hiring for the squad; run regular 1:1s and growth plans.
• Own performance end-to-end and address underperformance when needed.
• Set the working bar and promote a 'agree or disagree, but commit' culture.
