Job summary

NN Group Netherlands seeks a Senior Skills Strategy Lead to own and evolve the enterprise skills framework across NN’s international operations. You will drive governance, taxonomy design, and adoption within HR processes, partnering with Centres of Expertise, product teams, and business leaders.

You will lead skills-based transformation initiatives, collaborate with data and digital teams, and communicate changes effectively in English (Dutch a plus).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience leading workforce transformation in complex international organisations.
• Deep expertise in designing skills frameworks and taxonomies that align with business strategies and enhance talent management.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication, fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.

What you are going to do

Key Responsibilities:

• Skills Strategy and Governance: Own and evolve NN's enterprise skills framework, maintaining the skills taxonomy, and ensuring alignment with business strategy and workforce priorities
• Skills Integration: Embed skills into key HR processes such as Talent Acquisition, Internal Mobility, Career Development, and Performance Management
• Organisational Transformation: Lead the development and implementation of skills-based organisation strategies and drive change related to skills transformation
• Skills Data and Technology: Define business requirements for skills-related technology solutions and act as the business owner for relevant capabilities within HR technology platforms

• Salary between €8,446 and €11,262 (based 40 hours) depending on your knowledge and experience
• 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary

Who you are

• You hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field
• You have extensive experience in leading workforce transformation initiatives within complex international organisations
• You possess deep expertise in designing and implementing skills frameworks and taxonomies that align with business strategies and enhance talent management
• You excel in stakeholder management, effectively engaging diverse teams to drive the adoption of skills-based practices across HR processes
• With strong analytical skills, you translate strategic workforce needs into practical frameworks, ensuring alignment with emerging labour market trends
• You have experience working in an international skills-based organisation or have worked as a consultant implementing skills-based practices for international organisations
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, fluent in English (Dutch proficiency is a plus)

Who you will work with

In your role, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders across the organisation to drive the skills-based transformation. You will partner with HR Centres of Expertise and Product Teams to ensure the effective integration of skills into all HR processes, from talent acquisition to career development and succession planning. Working alongside HR Business Partners, you will align skills frameworks with workforce planning and talent management strategies, ensuring that the organisation’s workforce is equipped to meet current and future demands. Additionally, you will engage with Data & Digital teams to leverage insights and technology solutions that enhance skills governance and management. Your interactions will also extend to business leaders across NN, where you will facilitate discussions on skills integration and drive commitment to the organisation’s skills-based initiatives. By fostering these partnerships, you will play a crucial role in embedding a culture of skills development and agility throughout the organisation.
