Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to scale detection and response. You will ingest and transform security telemetry for analytics, onboard large data sources into Microsoft Sentinel, and implement ingestion-time KQL transformations at scale.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop Python automation, and ensure data accuracy and governance in a fast-paced, Azure-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Azure Cloud and Security Suite experience (Monitor, Log Analytics, AMA, Sentinel/XDR).
• Strong telemetry onboarding and SIEM architecture understanding.
• Experience in software projects in virtualized environments at scale (CI/CD, containerization, observability).
• Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing.
• Good grasp of software engineering principles and SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Ingest, transform, and prepare security telemetry for analytics and reporting.
• Onboard large-scale data sources into Microsoft Sentinel and related platforms.
• Design ingestion-time transformations using KQL and normalization across domains.
• Develop Python-based automation and reusable data onboarding components.
• Build and maintain API integrations with internal/external security tools.
