Job summary

Flow Traders is strengthening its Research Engineering leadership with an Engineering Manager role based in Amsterdam. You will lead a team of engineers and researchers, shaping product direction, delivery, and performance.

The position focuses on people management, roadmaps, and cross‑team collaboration with Trading and Quant groups. Based in Amsterdam, or willing to relocate, you will drive hiring, career development, and a healthy team culture while delivering impactful research and platform

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap: manage priorities, planning, sequencing of work in line with company goals
• Develop your engineers: career planning, promotions, coaching, performance management
• Plan and build the team: hire, headcount planning, resource allocation
• Cultivate a healthy team: manage culture, morale, productivity, address conflict early
• Lead with rhythm: regular 1-to-1s, timely feedback, team building
• Translate requirements into clear delivery plans, identify dependencies and risks
• Act as liaison between Engineering, Trading, and Quant teams for new products
• Drive delivery: track progress, manage risk and scope, report status
• Continuously improve delivery processes and team velocity
• Ensure alignment with organizational goals and timelines with Tech Leads and Staff Engineers
