Job summary
TU Delft's Microwave Sensing, Signals and Systems (MS3) group invites applications for an Assistant Professor to lead a pioneering radar remote sensing program. You will establish a long‑term vision, develop phased‑array radar research, and mentor PhD students while collaborating across disciplines.
You will teach Bachelor’s and Master’s courses in radar systems, contribute to educational programs, and leverage TU Delft’s state‑of‑the‑art facilities to advance society‑relevant research.
Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field with a strong science foundation.
- Expertise in radar remote sensing and related areas.
- Experience with experimental systems and field measurements.
- Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals and conferences.
- Ability to secure external research funding and develop proposals.
- Interest in teaching, supervision and mentoring students.
Responsibilities
- Lead an independent research line in radar remote sensing.
- Define a long‑term scientific vision and translate into projects.
- Supervise PhD candidates and MSc students.
- Establish partnerships with industry and public organisations.
- Contribute to Bachelor’s and Master’s teaching programs.
