Job summary

Rabobank is building a new integration platform for the Customer Data domain using MuleSoft. You will own the MuleSoft platform and the shared infrastructure to enable secure, scalable integrations across development, QA, and production environments in support of CRM modernization and Customer 360 initiatives.

As the Lead MuleSoft Platform Engineer, you design, configure, and operate the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, manage deployments on CloudHub and hybrid runtimes, enforce security controls,

Qualifications

• Very strong experience administering MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, Access Management, and Monitoring.
• Experience with CloudHub and Hybrid deployment models.
• Knowledge of Mule 4.x architecture and integration lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of API security, governance, and policy management.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging platforms, and enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance tuning skills.
• Experience supporting CRM and MDM integration ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform across multiple environments (Development, QA, UAT, Production).
• Configure and maintain Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, Design Center, Monitoring, and Access Management.
• Manage deployment, configuration, and lifecycle of Mule applications on CloudHub and hybrid runtimes.
• Manage environment provisioning, configuration, and access controls.
• Support CI/CD integration and deployment processes across MuleSoft environments.
• Implement and maintain platform security controls including OAuth 2.0, Client ID Enforcement, JWT, SSO, MFA, and mTLS.
• Manage user roles, permissions, business groups, and environment-level access.
• Enforce API governance, security policies, and enterprise compliance standards.
• Define and maintain MuleSoft platform standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Govern API lifecycle management and asset publication within Anypoint Exchange.
• Support development teams with platform onboarding, troubleshooting, and operational guidance.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge repositories.
• Partner with Integration Architects, Developers, Infrastructure, Security, and Business teams.
• Provide regular platform health reports and operational insights to leadership.

Lead Mulesoft Platform Engineer / Mulesoft Administrator – Customer Data

Shape the new Integration platform behind our Customer Data and support the CRM modernization program. You own the Mulesoft platform and the shared infrastructure/services to enable a secure and scalable foundation for data engineers, data scientists, DQ and DevOps teams.

You & your role

In the upcoming years you directly work on building a new integration platform for the MDM platform within the Customer Data domain using Mulesoft. This will enable teams within the bank to connect and integrate their existing application and new applications like Salesforce (the CRM modernization program). This empowers the bank initiative on Customer 360, MDM, Salesforce integration, event streaming and analytical/ML workloads. As Engineer design and build the secure, automated, cloud-based infrastructure that enables Data & DevOps teams to deliver reliable, secure and scalable integrations.

• Enabling the migration from Siebel to Salesforce supporting the CRM modernization/migration
