Job summary

Rabobank is building a greenfield digital asset foundation for custody, trading, payments and tokenization. You will shape the platform at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and blockchain, delivering secure, scalable and reliable production systems.

The role focuses on leading hands-on engineering, integrating asset platforms, and shaping technical direction within a specialized Digital Assets Services team. Hybrid work with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering or similar roles.
• Strong backend experience with Java and Spring Boot; design and build APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating and consuming SaaS platforms and external APIs in large enterprises.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms, especially AWS, plus exposure to Azure; CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience managing Linux-based environments in cloud and on-premises; reliability, observability and incident management.
• Proactive ownership, leadership of technical delivery, and ability to guide other engineers.
• Curiosity for blockchain/digital asset infrastructure and related cryptographic concepts.

Senior Dev Ops Engineer - Digital Assets Services

• Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,030 and EUR 7,183 (scale 09)for a 36-hour work week.

Shape Rabobank's digital asset foundation as a Senior DevOps Engineer, building core capabilities for custody, trading, payments and tokenization. Working at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure and blockchain technology, you integrate industry-leading digital asset platforms into a secure, regulated technology environment and help turn architectural vision into reliable production systems.

You are an experienced engineer who combines strong technical knowledge with ownership and leadership.

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering or a comparable technical role.
• Strong backend development experience, preferably with Java and Spring Boot, and experience designing and building APIs, integrations and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating and consuming SaaS platforms and external APIs within complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, with exposure to Azure, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
• Experience managing Linux-based environments in both cloud and on-premise infrastructures, with system reliability, observability, operational support and incident management.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive ownership mentality, with experience leading technical delivery and guiding other engineers.
• Curiosity for emerging technology domains such as blockchain technology, digital asset infrastructure, tokenization, stablecoins, cryptographic key management and transaction-signing infrastructure.
