Instrumentation engineering at a lead level on offshore and energy projects is not a role where you can learn on the job. If that is the level you operate at, this role is worth your full attention.
Our client is a specialist engineering organisation delivering technically demanding offshore and energy projects across international markets. Their instrumentation and automation teams work on large-scale installations where the quality and reliability of control, automation, and telecommunication systems are critical to project success and operational safety. Engineering excellence, disciplined delivery, and a strong commitment to technical quality define how they work and what they expect from the people who lead their teams.
As Lead Instrumentation Engineer, you will take full charge of instrumentation engineering activities on complex projects from concept through to detailed design. You will lead a team of instrumentation engineers and designers, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest technical standards and project objectives throughout every phase.
Your work will have a strong focus on greenfield Automation and Telecommunication detailed engineering. You will oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive instrumentation documentation, guide specification preparation and technical bid evaluations, and lead Factory Acceptance Testing for critical systems. This is a role with genuine technical ownership and direct leadership responsibility from the earliest project stages through to final delivery.
