As Global Mobility Operations Lead at Van Oord, you play a crucial role in shaping the future of global mobility within the organization. You will navigate the complex landscape of international tax, social security, and immigration legislation and ensure compliance with national and international payroll obligations.
As Global Mobility Operations Lead, you will collaborate with several different stakeholders throughout the company. You work closely with HR, Finance, Tax, and Payroll but also directly with our operational business to ensure alignment of our policies with the business needs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to be successful in this role. You are considered the expert on all Global Mobility matters and you need to bring the Global Mobility services to the operations as well. You will report to the Global Mobility Manager.
You will be responsible for and manage all aspects of our assignment lifecycles. Within our line of business, we work with several different work/leave schedules, both on sea and land. Together with your team, you will ensure compliance with international visa and work permits, social security, wage- and income tax, and other relevant regulations in all jurisdictions we are active in. You are part of Van Oord’s HR department, and your primary focus is on using your expertise to advise colleagues and management on relevant topics related to global mobility. Your position will be in the head office located in Rotterdam. We adopted a hybrid working model in which you can work from home for two days per week (based on full-time employment).
