Job summary

ZooStation is seeking a Lead Frontend Developer to take ownership of the frontend of the YourExpats platform. You will work with backend developers and founders to turn complex workflows into intuitive and professional user experiences.

We value hands-on engineers who think about how features should work, interact with users, and continuously improve UX, product usability and performance. English communication is essential, and AI-assisted development experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience developing modern web applications.
• Deep knowledge of React, TypeScript and APIs.
• Experience building scalable frontend architectures.
• Strong UX awareness and visual design.
• Ability to work independently and make pragmatic technical decisions.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of our frontend architecture and development.
• Build and further develop our platform using React and TypeScript.
• Design reusable, scalable and maintainable frontend components.
• Integrate the frontend with backend services and REST APIs.
• Translate business requirements and complex workflows into intuitive user interfaces.
• Improve the overall UX and consistency of the platform.
• Think critically about user journeys, interactions, layouts and information architecture.
• Work closely with backend developers on API design and implementation.
• Review code and establish frontend development standards and best practices.
• Improve frontend performance, reliability and maintainability.
• Help determine technical and product priorities.
• Turn ideas and prototypes into production‑ready functionality.
• Continuously look for opportunities to make the platform simpler, faster and more user‑friendly.
• Strong view and willingness to use AI in a structured way with guardrails
